Tuesday 30th January – ski ***** Morzine in the Alps – sunny.

6 hours 45 mins out, 36.83 knots max, 33.75 miles covered.

We skied again. Dan came too and we had a great time. The snow is still fine but a bit lumpy and cannoned in places. We met up with Hannah and her mum and Emma on the blue run back to the apartment first thing after going through the ‘zoo’ run which has plastic animals all the way down! Emma came with us to do the grizzly which is a bit more of a challenge and Hannah went with her Mum to the cafe. We met up with them and had a hot choc and Rob joined us with Arlo on his walk. Dan and Hannah came with us when the others went to lessons. Emma went home not feeling well and Elaine not out at all today because of a bad knee. We went over to Les Gets and had a great time and Hannah did some go pro filming with Robs birthday present go pro. We met up with Rob and Arlo who had walked all the way to Les Gets and found a kid’s Indian settlement themed run with a picnic table. They set off back and we did a bit more before heading back. The cloud in the valley was amazing. Hannah and Mag did a blue which Hannah thought went back to the village but it stopped half way down and they only just got the last lift!! I had come down the red and slid for a fair way of it – it comes down outside our apartment and is very steep!! They had a torch lit procession down it at 6.30 with the ski instructors coming from the top with the torches and fireworks. We had a great view from the balcony. We had mince and potatoes and banana split made by Pauline and Mick.
